After attending the evening aarti on the banks of the Yamuna here on Thursday evening, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the resolution of making the Yamuna clean got recalled and it will be the priority of the Delhi government.
Pollution in the Yamuna was a key issue during the Delhi Assembly elections, with political parties targeting each other over pollution, encroachments, and flood management.
According to an order, the expelled leaders include former District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents Tarlochan Singh and Ashok Khurana (Karnal), Member Coordination Committee Pradeep Chaudhary (Karnal), and former District Youth Congress (DYC) president Madhu Chaudhary (Yamuna Nagar).

Hitting out at former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, she called it a "shameful" thing how the Aam Aadmi Party chief "betrayed" the anti-corruption movement.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will formally assume office at the Delhi Secretariat around 3:00 PM, visit Vasudev Ghat in Yamuna Bazaar at 5:00 PM, and later chair her first Cabinet meeting at 7:00 PM at the Delhi Secretariat.
