Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has directed the party's Members of Parliament (MPs) to participate in the voting process and vote in favor of the bill, which is aimed at modernizing the Waqf Act.
Gogoi said that the clause-on-clause discussion was not held in the Joint Parliamentary Committee and added that the law is against the constitution and minorities.

The Waqf (Amendment) Bill is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Wednesday. Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are issuing whips to their MPs to ensure their presence in the House.
