Voting has started in Nepal to elect new House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assemblies as the Himalayan nation holds its periodic general election in search of stability.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Himachal Pradesh Maneesh Garg on Saturday reviewed the layout plan for proper movement of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and its passage from strong rooms to counting centers which would be moved for counting on December 8.
"Dear Voters, Let's celebrate democracy by participating in voting on November 4th. Let's vote for the candidates of the coalition on each side and the tree symbol of Nepali Congress on the proportional side," he tweeted.
The Doon assembly seat of Solan district recorded the highest voting percentage of 85.2. This was followed by Sirmaur district's Shillai constituency where 84.1 percent voting was recorded. Seraj's seat in the Mandi district stood third with 82 percent voters turnout.
Solan recorded the highest voter turnout with 76.82 per cent of the voters exercising their franchise. Shimla logged voter turnout of 69.88 per cent, according to the latest data.

Congress has retained Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu who is the party's former state chief and who won in the 2017 Assembly election defeating BJP's Vijay Agnihotri. He is seen as one of the contenders for the top post of the Chief Minister in case Congress wins the Assembly polls.
The Dalhousie seat which comes under the Chamba district is set to witness a tough fight between the two parties with the Aam Aadmi Party trying to leave a mark in the elections.
