Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vishnu Deo Sai criticised Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi for her comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which she accused him of asking the public to vote in the name of Gods and Goddesses.

While interacting with the media on Saturday, he said, "Operation against the Naxals will continue. Yesterday 12 Naxals were killed today also one Naxalite was killed in the Dhamtari district. This will continue in the future, and we will strongly fight against Naxalism."
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma appealed to the Naxals to join the mainstream and find solutions through talks with the government. His appeal came hours after 12 Naxalites were killed in an encounter in Bijapur on Friday.
