BJP govt will be formed in Odisha: Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai

He also said that the BJP will win most of the seats in the Odisha Lok Sabha election.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], May 19 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday expressed confidence in BJP's victory in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, saying the public has made up their mind for a change.
He also said that the BJP will win most of the seats in the Odisha Lok Sabha election.
"Today was our 6th day of campaigning and we have covered 7 Lok Sabha and 14 Assembly constituencies. The atmosphere here is very supportive of the BJP... There will be a change in Odisha. The BJD government has been ruling for 25 years, the public has made up their mind for a change and the BJP government will be formed there. In Lok Sabha also, most of the seats will be won by BJP," he said.
The Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in the BJD-ruled state are being held across four phases - from May 13 to June 1. The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
Polling for the first phase was conducted in 28 Assembly seats and four Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13.
In the fifth phase, 35 Assembly seats and five Lok Sabha constituencies will vote on May 20.
On May 20, polling will be held in the five parliamentary constituencies of Odisha, which are Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska.
42 Assembly segments and six Lok Sabha seats on May 25 and the remaining 42 Assembly seats and six Lok Sabha constituencies in the last phase on June 1. The results will be out on June 4.
In the last assembly elections in 2019, the BJD won 112 out of 146 seats. BJP won 23 seats and Congress got nine seats.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJD won 12 seats, the BJP won 8 seats, and the Congress managed to win only one seat.(ANI)
