Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday blamed the Congress' "divide and rule" policy for the unrest in the Northeast . He said that while Congress created new states in the Northeast, not demarcating their boundaries properly resulted in "states fighting each other".
Pointing towards the prevailing situation in violence-hit Manipur, Congress Lok Sabha MP Manish Tewari on Tuesday said that when there is any unrest in any northeastern state it affects the entire northeast region and the country.
