The Health Secretary informed that ART centres have been established and made functional in Government Medical College, Srinagar, District Pauri Garhwal and Sub District Hospital, Karnaprayag, District Chamoli.
On the instructions of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state health department has issued a comprehensive advisory for all government and private hospitals in the state to ensure fire safety in hospitals during the summer months.
According to an official release, "Dr R Rajesh Kumar, Secretary of Health, has spearheaded efforts to create a vast network aimed at providing quality medical assistance to visiting pilgrims, many of whom are over 50 years old."
Taking note of the dengue and chikungunya patients in the state, the Uttarakhand health department has issued guidelines to all the districts for their prevention and treatment. Guidelines of 20 important points have been issued to the District Magistrates and CMOs.
