Delhi police have arrested two persons for allegedly stabbing a man to death while he was resisting a robbery bid in Delhi's Sarai Rohilla area on Sunday, police said on Monday.
Amidst a nationwide outcry over the appalling incident in Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that two people including the main culprit have been arrested, adding that his government would spare no effort in seeking the death penalty for the accused.
Based on secret input, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIG (STF), Assam police planned out an operation and directed the STF team to carry out a search operation to detect and apprehend the miscreants involved in it.
"On June 30, a video came to our notice in which two persons are seen dancing with Asalha (gun). While taking action in the case, two boys (Vishal, and Prashant) have been arrested. Arms Act case has also been registered," said Rajesh Dev, DCP South East, Delhi.

According to the police, constable Vikrant was attacked by Vishal and Krishna while he was patrolling with constable Harish in the Jhuggi clusters of Rewari Line.
"On 11 June, a sanitation worker was mowed down by a car in Sukh Shanti housing society in Kandivali. On 22nd June, the injured sanitation worker passed away. After the incident, the car driver and sanitation work contractor were arrested," Ajay Bansal, DCP, (Zone XI) told ANI.
According to officials, the action was taken during a raid conducted at the Panditpur area under Lalgola Police Station on the basis of a tip-off received through sources.
