Meanwhile, BJP State President Annamalai has said to ANI, " Some four BJP leaders have joined, it's an unfortunate state in Tamil Nadu where Dravidian politicians who think that they run big parties want to poach from BJP and grow their party. That only shows BJP is growing".
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Monday called on Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai. The meeting came in the bakdrop of panic sweeping the state's migrant labourers from Bihar amid rumours of attacks.
After being booked by police in connection with alleged attacks on migrant labourers in Tamil Nadu, state BJP chief K Annamalai on Sunday dared the MK Stalin government to "arrest him within 24 hours", while also alleging that false cases are registered against him.
A day after Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party chief K Annamalai held the ruling DMK party responsible for the ongoing stir over alleged attacks on migrant labourers in the State, the police have booked him on charges of inciting violence and promoting enmity between groups.
A case has been filed against 3,500 BJP leaders and cadres for conducting a candlelight march in connection with the death of an Army jawan who was hacked to death by a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) councillor.
TN BJP VP Narayanan Thirupathy said, " Over a week has passed but there is no statement from DMK or CM MK Stalin. An Army man was killed by a DMK counsellor. DMK has been trying to threaten the opposition. They are trying to provoke their party men to attack others who are against the govt"
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Police arrested the main accused DMK Councillor Chinnasamy and nine others including his son Rajapandi in the Army jawan's death case in Krishnagiri.
Annamalai said that the Tamil Nadu BJP Ex-Servicemen wing will protest at their respective district collectorate wearing their Badge against the "disrespect" of the Army.
Annamalai said the State Election Commission is yet to take action against the complaint submitted by Tamil Nadu BJP and has done nothing significant to stop the ruling DMK government from the "blatant abuse of power".
