The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Rawalpindi summoned Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi on June 7 to record her statement as a trustee of the Al-Qadir University Trust in the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) UK settlement case.
In May, Islamabad Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman upheld the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) bailable arrest warrant in the case. However, the court agreed to Imran Khan's request for exemption from appearance on June 1 and adjourned the hearing till June 8.
In the letter to DCP, New Delhi, DCP Chairperson Maliwal wrote, "Person claiming to be the uncle of the minor survivor has revealed the identity of the survivor which is a criminal offence as per the POCSO Act."
The court also took note of the information that there is no circular from Delhi Police to serve the summons upon the witnesses on WhatsApp. Still, police officials are adopting this practice.
