In preparation for the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, Indian Railways will run 7,000 special trains, including clone trains catering to lakhs of passengers.
In view of the increased rush of passengers during the Diwali and Chhat Puja festivals, Central Railway on Saturday announced to run two more unreserved special trains between Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur.
During this festive season, Northern Railway has made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for passengers. To accommodate the expected surge in demand, Northern Railway is running festival special trains.
Central Railways will run 24 additional festival special trains between Panvel and Nanded to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, an official press release stated.
