Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday accused the central government of "unnecessarily troubling" Congress leaders after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet against Congress leaders Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case.
On Tuesday, the ED filed a prosecution complaint (chargesheet) in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court against Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Sam Pitroda, Suman Dubey and others, including several firms.
Several Congress workers have been detained by the police in various states as they are holding nationwide agitation against the Central government after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a prosecution complaint against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.
The Congress workers held a protest against the Centre after the ED (Enforcement Directorate) filed a chargesheet against Congress leaders Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in connection with the National Herald. It was led by State Congress President Bhakta Charan Das.
Union Minister and BJP leader Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday accused the Congress of engaging in low-level politics regarding the National Herald case and urged them to take responsibility for the "corruption" in it.
Singh highlighted that they have consistently handed over their personal wealth to the country since 1930 and have never acquired wealth for personal gain while holding public office, stressing that the entire case is false and has been filed to harass.
