India celebrated its 77th Republic Day on Monday. On the special occassion, several celebrities took to their social media handle to extend their best wishes.
The tableau began with Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, whose composition Vande Mataram in 1875 became the eternal mantra of freedom, igniting patriotism, unity, and devotion to the motherland across generations.
Recalling his father's long public life, Ajay Kumar Malhotra said the 70-year political journey was marked by both struggle and significant achievements. He said the recognition was deeply meaningful for the family and they were thankful for the honour.
"We have come up with the rendition of Vande Mataram, our national song, which is very, very special for the entire nation and even more special to us," Usha told ANI, adding that this is the third song released by them, following two earlier releases already available on YouTube.
