The Prime Minister waved to and acknowledged the huge crowd lining the road from Shankh Circle to Hamirsinh Circle. According to the official press release, "This grandest-ever Shaurya Yatra in Somnath's history also stood as a symbol of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'."

A large crowd gathered at the public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi organised under the Somnath Swabhiman Parv, where the entire venue reflected devotion, pride, and national spirit.
The Prime Minister also paid floral tributes to the statues of Veer Hamirji Gohil and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Veer Hamirji Gohil sacrificed his life while defending the Somnath Temple in 1299 AD during the invasion led by Zafar Khan.
Visuals from the event showed the Prime Minister standing in an open vehicle decorated with flowers. He was accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
In an X post, the Prime Minister shared highlights from Day 1 of his Gujarat visit, including offering prayers at the Somnath temple and witnessing a drone show and other events as part of the Swabhiman Parv.
The Shaurya Yatra is a ceremonial procession organised to honour the countless warriors who laid down their lives defending the Somnath Temple. The procession will feature a symbolic march of 108 horses, representing valour, bravery, and sacrifice.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Somnath to participate in the Somnath Swabhiman Mahotsav Parv on Saturday. His arrival created a Diwali-like festive spirit and a deeply devotional atmosphere in Somnath. Devotees from Somnath and across the country welcomed the Prime Minister with
"We appreciate the religious institutions of all religions. They are the pride of the nation. They are meant for the whole country. Hence, there should be no politics on religious place is what we want...," he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Shree Somnath Trust and oversaw various phases related to the infrastructural upgradation in the temple premises and ensured a more pleasurable trip for the devotees.
