According to an official statement, "The SKM general body on Thursday decided to organise a massive mobilisation of farmers with a slew of programmes to be observed all over India in support of its demands and against the repression of the farmers' struggle."
Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Leader Rakesh Tikait on Wednesday asserted that a crucial meeting of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) is scheduled for tomorrow, where farmers from across the country will convene to decide the future course of the agitation.

Football legend and politician Bhaichung Bhutia is all set to join the Sikkim Democratic Front party led by former Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. Bhaichung made the formal announcement on Wednesday, ending a week-long speculation of him joining Sikkim's opposition party.
