Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai on Monday lashed out at Congress Party by saying that the party flouted the Constitution and clamped the emergency on the whole country.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday lambasted former CM Siddaramaiah for allegedly enjoying political dividends on the policies of the central government during his tenure.
Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah demanded a high-level probe today after Election Commission of India on Friday ordered immediate suspension of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) special Commissioner S Rangappa and Bengaluru Urban District Deputy Commissioner K Srinivas.
The EC took Cong's complaint seriously and suspended two senior IAS officers, along with 3 electoral officers at Shivajinagar, Mahadevapura and Chickpet constituencies, the former CM said.
"Being an MP he must not do all such things. What should we say when he lacks common sense? Who is he to destroy the bus stop when it's the government that spent money to build it? Is it his money? It's the government's money," said Siddaramaiah.
Leaders of Varuna, Hebbala and Badami constituencies have given an invitation and said that it would be good if I contest from the closer constituencies of Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah said.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had claimed that it was the BJP government that decided to name the Bangalore International Airport after Nadaprabhu Kempegowda.
Former chief minister Siddaramaiah levelled serious allegation of corruption against BJP government in Karnataka on the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the "Statue of Prosperity", the 108-feet bronze statue of Bengaluru founder Nadaprabhu Kempegowda.
