The BJP MLA noted that Thajuddin, father of the arrested Reshaan Sheikh, is an active worker of Congress and is close to Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D K Shivakumar.
Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah on Friday clarified his "puppy" remark on Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and other party leaders and said that his "statement in rural language" has been misunderstood and he did not insult the Chief Minister.
Congress leader Siddaramaiah had on Wednesday said, "CM Bommai and other BJP leaders shiver like a 'puppy' in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi", a remark that stoked a major controversy.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai on Wednesday hit out at the Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah and said that the people of Karnataka will give a fitting reply to Siddaramaiah in the Assembly elections.
