Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has voiced support for the Malhar certification as an alternative to Halal mutton for Hindus, stating that Halal food is part of Islam, not Hinduism.
Through the certification, the government will have access on the rightful mutton shops. Furthermore, a 100 percent Hindu community would sell meet and there would be no adulterations in mutton.
According to Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), "A level 2 fire was reported in Filmcity Road, Near Wagheshwari Temple, Goregaon East. The fire is confined to ground-floor shops, huts."
A massive fire broke out early in the morning in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, causing severe damage to multiple shops and structures. Fire services are working to control the flames. The cause of the fires remains under investigation.
Earlier, shops were required to remain closed for one day a week, but now traders have the flexibility to operate as per their convenience, according to the CM. However, the government has also ensured the protection of employees' rights. Each worker will receive a mandatory weekly holiday,

Speaking to ANI, the DCP said, "An unfortunate incident unfolded here in Sonamarg yesterday wherein many shops were damaged. Our revenue and fire services team is here. We have assessed the damaged shops and we will forward the report today so the shop owners can get some relief."
