Following the arrest of a Bangladeshi national in connection with the stabbing attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey on Wednesday held the centre responsible for Bangladeshi infiltrators and said that the government does not have the willpower to work.
This came after former Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale made a representation against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, the reference for which he took from a report on the same subject prepared by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

He further accused the BJP of raising the "Bangladeshi issue" each time before elections and said that the responsibility lies with Union Home Minister Amit Shah if there was an influx of Bangladeshi nationals in Mumbai.
The attack took place when an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered the actor's home with the alleged intent of theft. Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine while attempting to intervene during a confrontation between the intruder and his housemaid.
