"Why have they not been able to catch Bangladeshi infiltrators?" Aaditya Thackeray slams BJP

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 20 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray questioned why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has not been able to deal with the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators in the last ten years.
He also claimed that the BJP-led Central government sent rice to Bangladesh at a time when the Hindus were allegedly facing a difficult time in Bangladesh.
On Mumbai Police suspecting that Saif Ali Khan's attacker is a Bangladeshi, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray told ANI, "The BJP government has been in power for ten years, why have they not been able to catch Bangladeshi infiltrators... When Hindus were being tortured in Bangladesh, the central government sent rice to Bangladesh... BJP governments are in power in the centre as well as in the state, this is the failure of the BJP... The BJP should tell how many Bangladeshis (infiltrators) they have caught in the last 10 years."
Earlier UBT Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that all Bangladeshis should be removed and it should begin with Sheikh Hasina, the ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister who has been taking asylum in India since last year. The Shiv Sena MP also demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
"Who is saying he is a Bangladeshi? The BJP? They are claiming that the attack on Saif Ali Khan is an international conspiracy. What is the international conspiracy? An actor has been attacked and the people should be told the truth... If he is a Bangladeshi, then the central government is responsible. It is Amit Shah's responsibility and he should resign," Raut told media persons.
The attack took place when an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered the actor's home with the alleged intent of theft. Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine while attempting to intervene during a confrontation between the intruder and his housemaid.
The accused was apprehended at Hiranandani Estate in Thane while attempting to flee to his native village. The police said he hails from the Jhalokati district in Bangladesh. The incident occurred around 2:00 AM on January 16, during which Saif Ali Khan sustained serious injuries, including multiple stab wounds to his thoracic spine.
At an event, Saif's sister Soha Ali Khan shared an update on his health while speaking to the media. She said, "We are happy that he is recovering well, and we are very thankful. We feel very blessed and grateful that it wasn't any worse. Thank you for all your wishes." (ANI)
