The Andaman Sea experienced a second earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter Scale today, with the tremors occurring at 11.22 am, just an hour after the first quake at 10:09 am.
According to the NCS, the quake occurred at 10.02 pm, with its epicentre located at latitude 28.08 N and longitude 76.49 E, at a depth of 5 kilometres.
An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck Gujarat's Gir Somnath district on Sunday evening, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.
Karachi has experienced 26 mild earthquakes since Sunday, mainly in Malir, Landhi, Quaidabad, and Gadap, with magnitudes ranging from 2.0 to 3.6. Officials say the tremors are linked to the Landhi Fault Line and may continue for a few days, but no damage has been reported so far.
As per NCS, the tremors of the earthquake occurred at 08:44 AM IST on Sunday. Its epicentre was located at latitude 28.87°N and longitude 77.96°E, five kilometres below the surface.
