The Special Court of People's Representatives in Bengaluru on Friday granted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) six-day custody of suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in connection with the alleged obscene video case.
The case is registered in KR Nagara police station against HD Revanna and others for the alleged abduction of a victim of sexual assault by Prajwal Revanna.
Revanna was brought to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Bengaluru for a medical examination. After the conclusion of the medical exam, Prajwal was taken to the City civil court where he was produced before the 42nd ACMM court judge.
The Hasan MP was arrested by the SIT on Thursday night at Bengaluru Airport and is expected to be produced before the Magistrate in the Special Court of People's Representatives soon.
Earlier, Bhavani Revanna, mother of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is accused in the obscene video case, filed an anticipatory bail in the kidnapping case in which her husband was earlier arrested.
The anticipatory bail application filed by Revanna earlier is also expected to be considered void as the JD (S) suspended MP has already been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
JD (S) suspended MP Prajwal Revanna, who was arrested in the obscene video case at the Bengaluru Airport soon after he landed, is expected to be taken out for medical examination soon, following which he will be produced before the court.
