Uttarakhand police on Sunday informed that three people have died and the search operation for the missing persons is still underway after a landslide at Gaurikund.
The search and rescue operation for missing persons after a landslide at Gaurikund in Uttarakhand continued on Sunday, said authorities. Twenty people are still missing and three persons were killed in the landslide that occurred on Friday, according to officials.
41 people were sailing on the boat when it overturns in the water and out of them 32 have been rescued, while the bodies of three others were retrieved from the floodwater, with six of them missing so far.
"An under-construction underpass near Dhanwapur railway cross number 26 in Gurugram collapsed this evening. We have received information about some labourers being trapped under the debris. A rescue operation is underway," Station House Officer Pradeep Kumar said.
Two fishermen managed to swim to shore, while the others were rescued by marine enforcement, coastal police, and fishermen engaged in rescue operations, officials said.
Officials said that the machine was being used in the construction of Phase III of the Samruddhi Express Highway late at night. Initial reports confirmed the death of 14 workers while three others were injured.
