Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma honoured several employees for their exemplary service during the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the State Secretariat in Jaipur.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) joined the nation in celebrating the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Delhi Air Traffic Services (DATS) Complex of Airports Authority of India, New Delhi.
"The Republic Day parade offered a glimpse into the strengthening capabilities of India's security forces. Our forces are truly our pride," said PM Modi on X.
The celebrations began with the unfurling of the tricolour by Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, the singing of the national anthem, and the offering of floral tributes at the bust of Mahatma Gandhi.
Indian Army, under the aegis of Spear Corps, commemorated the 77th Republic Day with the local population at Along (Aalo) in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, in an atmosphere marked by patriotism, unity and national pride.
Speaking to the reporters here, Chouhan said, "Farmers from across the country have also arrived to celebrate Republic Day on Kartavya Path. Farmers are our guests. I thank Prime Minister Modi because never before have farmers been invited in this manner."
"Now, the Republic is facing certain threats from right-wing communal-fascist forces. They are posing a threat to the very Constitution, the idea of India visualised by Dr Ambedkar and the Constitution makers is under threat," D Raja told ANI.
On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram and shared his heartfelt greetings, calling India a land of "unity in diversity."
According to an official release, the event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia, followed by the National Anthem, played by Himachal Pradesh Police Band.
The letter read, "On the occasion of your Republic Day, my wife and I send our warmest congratulations to you and to the people of the Republic of India."
