BJP leader N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday termed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's remark--that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a 'legally converted BC (backward classes)'--as cheap and in poor political taste.

He said that PM Modi's caste was added to the OBC list of the Gujarat government in 1994 and to the centre's list before 2000. Laxman added that the statement made by the Telangana CM was a mere distraction as he failed to fulfil promises.
