Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said that there was no truth to the talks claiming he had the backing of a section of his party MLAs in his rumoured bid to switch over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
"A murder happened and section 144 was imposed, the government there (Uttar Pradesh) did it. But if this incident took place despite the presence of (UP) police, then it is a serious matter. This raises a big question on law and order," Raut said while speaking to the media.
