After the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra registered a decisive victory in the local body elections, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale termed it a "great success," saying that the coalition has secured a good result in the entire municipal polls.

"This allegation is false. The Election Commission is conducting an inquiry and removing bogus and fake votes that were previously registered. When they won elections in Himachal, Telangana and Karnataka, they didn't raise any complaints," Athawale told reporters.
