Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress Party MLA G Srinivas Naidu conducted an inspection of the rice crops in Kalavacharla village on Tuesday, which were adversely affected by the rains caused by Cyclone Michoung.
As Chennai is reeling under heavy floods due to the rains brought by cyclone Michaung, another corporation of Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, sent 12 motors with 41 HP capacity to the flood-ravaged city to flush out the waters.
In the heavy rain triggered by the cyclone in the last two days, the city has come to a standstill as roads are flooded, traffic is disrupted, and losses of property and lives happened.
The Michaung cyclone has unleashed heavy rains across the Kadapa and Annamaiya districts, leaving a trail of challenges for residents and farmers alike. The cyclone's impact has resulted in a significant influx of water into the main dams of the district.

Amid destructions caused by Severe Cyclonic storm 'Michaung' in the state, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin on Tuesday said that the rains received during Cyclone period have exceeded what the state has received in 2015.
Chennai Airport has resumed operations after being temporarily shut down due to heavy rains that caused flooding and waterlogging on the runways, said an airport official.
The IMD further said that Cyclone Michaung is likely to cross south Andhra Pradesh during the forenoon of December 5 with a maximum wind speed of 90-100 Kmph.
