The Meteorological Centre, Chennai has predicted light thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rain at isolated places in the state on Friday morning. The Meteorological department issued a notice at 7 am.
A technical team, which was tasked with assessing the cause and impact of floods and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, has attributed the calamities to overburdening of the surface and lack of controlled drainage in Shimla and other parts of the state.
"Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are likely to experience very heavy to isolated heavy rainfall (115.6 to 204.4 mm) between November 30 and December 2-4. Stay alert and stay safe!," read a post shared by IMD on X.
