Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday suggested Telangana police not take 'revenge' against cine actor Allu Arjun over the tragic incident that occurred during the premiere of his movie Pushpa 2, killing one on December 4.
Allu Arjun's father-in-law, Kancherla Chandrashekhar Reddy, was seen visiting the actor's residence in Jubilee Hills after the actor was summoned by the Chikkadpalli police in Hyderabad.
On the occasion, he performed the Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of development works worth Rs 642 crore, including renovation and redevelopment of Lakha Banjara lake, statue of Lakha Banjara, Smart City Governance/Municipal Corporation Office and two zonal centers.
Congress leader Sama Ram Mohan Reddy on Monday said that there was "no interaction" between AICC in-charge for Telangana Deepa Dasmunsi and Allu Arjun's father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy in the Gandhi Bhawan.
CM Dhami also extended his greetings to CM Yadav on completing one year of the government in the state. He also paid tributes to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was born in Madhya Pradesh and reached the post of Prime Minister.
Congress MP Kiran Kumar Chamala accuses BRS and BJP of blaming Congress for the December 4 stampede linked to Pushpa 2. He denies the party's involvement and defends Chief Minister's stance on the film industry.
The incident happened around 4:45 pm, when some started sloganeering outside the 'Pushpa' actor's residence by chanting slogans and holding placards. One of the protestors mounted the compound and started throwing tomatoes.
