Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 23 (ANI): Congress leader Sama Ram Mohan Reddy on Monday said that there was "no interaction" between AICC in-charge for Telangana Deepa Dasmunsi and Allu Arjun's father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy in the Gandhi Bhawan.
"There was no interaction between AICC in-charge for Telangana Deepa Dasmunsi and Allu Arjun's father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy. So meanwhile, when he changed the sofa from the second one to the first one which was closer to Deepa Dasmunsi ji all that media came in after seeing that the media, he simply told Deepa Dasmunsi ji that I will come and meet you, and he simply left. That is what happened. That was the only conversation that happened. There wasn't any meeting. There wasn't any conversation happened between Deepa Dasmunsi and Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy. I don't know for what reason he came to Gandhi Bhawan because he's also a Congress leader. But as we all know what's happening in and around and what are all the politics happening in the state, so definitely might be something about that or some personal reasons, but the interaction didn't happen here," Sama Ram Mohan Reddy said.
This comes after a stampede controversy outside Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4, during the premiere of the Telugu superstar's latest blockbuster, "Pushpa 2."
The Congress leader also condemned the stone-pelting incident at the 'Pushpa' actor Allu Arjun's residence.
"We strongly condemn the attack. Congress party never encourages such attacks. We never encourage any violence and as it was very much clarified by none other than our honourable chief minister in the assembly itself you know this is a transparent government and we are not going to see any profiles whether they are big or small, but you know law will take its own course of action," he added.
Reddy said that Telangana CM Revanth Reddy directed the DGP to initiate action against the accused.
"And there we have strongly condemned it and our honourable CM in his official Twitter directed the DGP to initiate action against them. Those people were arrested and you know, the case was booked and the bail was also granted for them. So there is transparency, but why BRS is indulging in propagating lies, saying that, you know, it is a conspiracy made by the Congress party that those people who were seen on cameras? Those were very close to KTR too. We have released several images that, you know, when those students joined into BRS party. See, if we just connect the dots, this is nothing but an attempt to blemish the image of our government, but you know, once again BRS has failed," the Congress leader said.
Earlier on Sunday, the Hyderabad residence of 'Pushpa' actor Allu Arjun was pelted with stones following allegations that he was responsible for the chaos at Sandhya Theatre, which led to the death of a woman on December 4.
The tensions heightened after public statements were exchanged between the actor and the government. According to Jubilee Hills Police, members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) staged a protest outside Allu Arjun's residence on Sunday, holding placards and chanting slogans.
