After failing to arrest Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Punjab province Inspector General of Police Usman Anwar warned his party activists of tougher action if they continued to resort to violence in their attempt to prevent his team from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and supporters have taken control of Zaman Park in Lahore after the police, which earlier arrived to arrest former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakana case, withdrew from the Canal Road, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
"I have everything thing by the grace of God, I am fighting a war for you. I have fought all my life and keep fighting. But if I'm put into jail or I'm killed, then you have to prove that this kaum will struggle without Imran khan also," he said further.
The Lahore Police has termed the death of PTI worker Ali Bilal alias Zil-e-Shah as a result of a traffic accident. The vehicle which hit Bilal was of a private company and the administration held Imran Khan responsible for the accident.
Lashing out at Punjab police for brutality and "custodial murder" of a supporter, Ali Bilal, Imran said that the actions of caretaker Punjab government tantamount to "blocking democracy."
