More than 397.4 million devotees have taken a holy dip in the sacred confluence of river Ganga, Yamuna and mystical Saraswati in the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.

At 12.30 pm today, the Chief Minister will take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, according to a statement from the Gujarat Government. The CM will also visit the Bade Hanumanji Temple to offer prayers, the statement mentioned.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will visit the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, being held at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh on February 7, as confirmed by a statement from the Gujarat government.
"An incident happened today when a 22-year-old devotee while bathing in the Ganga at Gada Madhav Ghat went into deep water which became uncontrollable due to the strong current and started drowning," read a statement by the NDRF.
Over 6.1 million devotees visited the Maha Kumbh today, and 1 million Kalpawasis continued their holy ritual of bathing, bringing the total to 71 million devotees, according to the figures provided by the state government.
"With folded hands and a heart full of devotion, I pray for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of our great nation and the beloved people of Manipur," the CM said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
