"Triveni water cleans body, soul": Manipur CM takes a dip in Maha Kumbh

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], February 6 (ANI): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Thursday, praying for the peace and prosperity of both the nation and his state.
"With folded hands and a heart full of devotion, I pray for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of our great nation and the beloved people of Manipur," the CM said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Posting a video of his holy hip along with his cabinet colleagues, he added, "At Triveni Sangam, where sacred rivers unite, the waters cleanse both body and soul. I pray for our nation and Manipur, seeking peace, strength, and prosperity. May divine grace guide us toward unity and light."

Earlier today, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini also took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam.
After worshipping the Ganga river, given the title of 'Maa Ganga,' the CM praised the organisation of Mahakumbh, highlighting the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The CM's post added, "After the holy bath, we worshipped Maa Ganga with due rituals and prayed for happiness, peace and prosperity of all the residents of the state. Under the able leadership of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the popular Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has skillfully organized the world's largest public gathering, for which he deserves praise."
More than 3.79 million devotees took a holy dip at the Magh Mela in Prayagraj till 8 am as of today.
According to officials, over 1 million Kalpwasis are residing at the Mela premises, while the total number of pilgrims visiting the festival has reached 2.79 million so far today.
Since its commencement on January 13, Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 has witnessed a massive turnout, with over 389.7 million devotees taking a dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam. (ANI)
