Union Power Minister R K Singh on Monday slammed Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for addressing the slain gangster turned politician Atiq Ahmed as 'Atiq Ji' and said that the RJD leader is shedding tears for that dreaded ganglord, who was facing over 100 criminal charges.
"All three shooters, Arun Maurya, Sunny Singh and Lovelesh Tiwari, are under threat of attack behind bars, owing to which they have been shifted to a high-security cell," official sources said.
"Atiq is the second Muslim ex-MP who was murdered with impunity. Ehsan Jaffry was ruthlessly hacked to death by a mob in Gujarat in 2002 and today it's Atiq. Shot and killed in police custody," tweeted Owaisi.
After offering prayers Union Minister Rajnath Singh took to Twitter and said, "Feeling blessed after offering prayers at the historic Somnath Temple in Gujarat. Jai Somnath!"

Responding to the shooting of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf Ahmad by three assailants, Samajwadi Party MP ST Hasan on Sunday said that courts should have punished such criminals.
"Today all the three accused were produced before the Remand Magistrate. The three accused have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the court. Now the date of April 29 has been fixed," Gulam Chandra Agrahari told ANI.
