Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana has expelled eight leaders from the party for six years for choosing to contest the Haryana assembly elections as independent candidates against official party nominees.
Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Sunday that there is huge enthusiasm among voters in Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) as elections are being held after a long time.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a rally in Nangal Chaudhry Assembly on Sunday, took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being a "factory of lies" regarding the Agnipath scheme.

Pradeep Chaudhary has again been given ticket by the Congress after he won the Kalka seat in the 2019 Assembly polls by defeating BJP candidate Latika Sharma with a vote margin of 4.7 per cent.
"All he (Kejriwal) has developed is himself, his family and the AAP because the corruption has been at its peak...Delhi people have no expectations from him. Congress will form an independent and strong government in Haryana," he added.
This comes after Assam Chief Minister and BJP's election co-incharge in Jharkhand Himanta Biswa Sarma said that in the assembly polls, the BJP will ally with Janata Dal (united) and AJSU party.
