Bihar recorded a voter turnout of 27.65 per cent in the first four hours of the first phase of assembly elections, according to the data of the Election Commission of India.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Lakhisarai constituency, Vijay Kumar Sinha, on Thursday, alleged that RJD workers threatened a polling agent at booths in Halsi block during the first phase of voting.
Bihar had recorded a voter turnout of 13.1% till 9 AM across the 121 constituencies in the first phase. The Bihar elections are being held in two phases across the state, with the second phase happening on November 6.
