In the matter of the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday, a case has been registered u/s 109(1) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Civil Lines police station. The accused has been taken into police custody.
Mrinal Deka, DCP (East) of Guwahati police said that, in connection with the death of an infant girl at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), they arrested a woman.

The accused had come to the Jan Sunvai with a plea to release his relative who is imprisoned in jail, as per sources. Earlier, the accused was apprehended by the Delhi police and was taken to the Civil Lines police station for questioning.
