A man was arrested on Sunday over a hoax phone call to a police control room, allegedly claiming that explosives had been placed at a bank in Nagpur, officers said.
A stabbing incident took place in the national capital between the intervening nights of Sunday and Monday. The Punjabi Bagh Police Station (PS) received a Police Control Room (PCR) call alerting them to the incident.
Police on Friday received a call in the police control room where the caller stated that some persons posing as Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials had decamped with over Rs 3.2 crore from his house.
The Mumbai police control room on Sunday morning had received a threat over the phone from an unidentified caller. The caller claimed the possibility of a serial blast in a local train, according to the police.
"A call was received by Mumbai Police Control Room at 1 am about a white tanker filled with RDX has been proceeded from Mumbai to Goa in which two Pakistani nationals are also there," Mumbai Police said.
According to Mumbai Police, "Mumbai police control room received a threat call yesterday in which the caller threatened the police to prepare for a 26/11 terrorist attack if Pakistani national Seema Haider does not return to Pakistan."
Datia SP Pradeep Sharma said, "Keeping in mind the upcoming state assembly elections to be held later this year, around 1300 different types of arms and ammunition were destroyed at the Control Room with permission from the Court. In future too, such strict action will be continued."
Mumbai police on Friday said that an unidentified person called up a police control room claiming that there would be a bomb blast in the Andheri and Kurla areas of Mumbai at 6:30 p.m. on June 24.
While speaking to ANI, SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said, "District police control room received two phone calls yesterday one at around 4 pm and another at 5 pm that four persons are stranded at Bhagsu waterfall and five more at a different location near Naddi."
