Two fraudsters were arrested by a team of Delhi Police for cheating and deceiving the people including government officials and politicians by impersonating themselves as the Bharatiya Janata Party officials, police said on Tuesday.
The police have arrested a suspect involved in the attack on the Pakistan military's General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi during protests which were sparked after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported ARY News.
In cases filed against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act across the province for carrying out attacks on the Corps Commander House in Lahore, public and private buildings, the Punjab police arrested 540 more leaders and members of the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Friday,
"On May 4, a youth named Raju Dronawat was shot in broad daylight in which the youth had identified the accused before he died. After which a team was formed and was continuously working to nab the accused," Madhavnagar police station in charge Manish Lodha said.
"An incident of alleged gang rape of two girls has been reported under Gomati district on May 11. Gomati Police arrested the accused within 6 Hours," an official statement said.
The accused have been identified as Ajit and Bhupendra. They were on the run after the murder incident which happened last Friday (May 5) in which six people were shot dead while two others sustained injuries.
Assam police arrested a doctor couple for allegedly torturing a four-year-old girl at their house in the Paltan Bazar area of Assam. The police on Sunday said that the four-year-old girl was an adopted child of the couple.
He was arrested by Delhi police after deportation from Mexico. The operation was jointly conducted by the FBI and Delhi police. He has been interrogated for 10 days in this case by the special cell.
