Tragedy struck in Bandipora district on Saturday after an army vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near the Wular viewpoint in the SK Payeen area.
The regional communication bureau informed in a statement, that the tragedy occurred when a truck packed with passengers plunged into a river in Sidama state, approximately 300 kilometres south of the capital city, Addis Ababa.
The bodies of the mother-daughter duo were recovered during rescue operations carried out by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local residents.
