Two killed, 12 injured after tractor-trolley carrying labourers plunges into ditch in MP's Betul

Two people died and 12 others got injured after a tractor trolley met with an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Betul on Sunday.

Betul (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 27 (ANI): Two people died and 12 others got injured after a tractor-trolley met with an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Betul on Sunday.
The incident happened at 6 am when some workers from Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu were returning to their homes and had taken a tractor after deboarding a train in Betul which later plunged into a ditch.
Following the incident, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav instructed to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured and made proper agreements for treatment.
Further detailing about the incident Nischal Jhariya, SP, Betul said, "Today morning, 21 people who belong to Betul district deboarded a train in Betul, they were working in Kanniyakumari. Around 7 am, they were going towards their village in a tractor-trolley...the tractor-trolley met with an accident, there were 16 people present in the tractor trolley. 2 people died, 12 sustained injuries and rest 3 did not suffer any major injuries...among the injured, 2 are in serious condition...case has been registered against the tractor driver and he will be arrested soon."
Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi, Collector, Betul said, "The information of the incident was also given to the Chief Minister's Office. The Chief Minister has instructed to show utmost sensitivity in providing treatment and relief etc. to the injured and deceased drivers and as per the Chief Minister's instructions, proper arrangements are being made for the treatment."
"Chief Minister has also instructed to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured, which is being followed," DM added further. (ANI)
