Comparing the petrol and electricity prices of Rajasthan with BJP-ruled states, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan did not do anything to control the prices of petrol in the state.
All major stakeholders including ports and oil handling companies took part in the meeting including Reliance Industries, Nayara Energy and Hindustan Petroleum.
The Bhilwara rally of Yogi Adityanath, especially, attracted an impressive gathering of over 50,000 people. The chants of "Bulldozer Baba," "Yogi-Yogi," and "Dekho-Dekho Sher Aaya" echoed through various rallies.
The incident occurred near a petrol pump under the jurisdiction of Jhansi Road police station in the district at around 9:30 am on Monday. The whole matter was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump.
"Today, we are working hard to become a developed nation. For this, a government which gives priority to development is needed in Rajasthan. Nothing is more important than corruption and familial politics for Congress. This party doesn't think of anything other than appeasement politics,"
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday said petrol will be cheaper by at least Rs 11.80 per litre in Rajasthan if the BJP is elected in the November 25 Assembly elections.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday alleged that the price of petrol in Rajasthan was the highest in the country because of taxes imposed by the Congress government in the state, adding that the Rajasthan government has collected tax of Rs 35,975 crore on petrol and diesel.
The price of Kuwaiti oil went down by USD 2.44 to reach USD 82.27 per barrel on Friday, compared to USD 84.71 per barrel the day before, said the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Saturday.
