As many as six people, including two women died and five were injured after a passenger van fell off a bridge while travelling on the route connecting the Thakot area of Battagram to Hazara Motorway in Pakistan’s Mansehra, according to a Rescue 1122 official, Dawn reported.
As per The Tribune Express, the passengers, belonging to various parts of Punjab, were returning from a religious festival in Bhurban. The accident happened near the Bastal Mor on the motorway after one of the bus tyres busted midway.
As per the motorway police, the incident took place near the Burhan Interchange due to low visibility. The rescue teams soon after the incident, reached the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
One person was killed and three others were injured after a speeding dumper on Monday ran over five vehicles at Rawalpindi’s GT Road, ARY News reported, quoting rescue sources.
