The number of people who have lost their lives due to heavy vehicle collisions in Karachi is alarming: 42 deaths were caused by trailers, 26 by water tankers, 22 by dumpers, 10 by Mazdas, and 10 by buses.
As per details, the road accident occurred near Meetha Khel on the Indus Highway where a passenger coach collided with a truck, resulting in the deaths of ten people and injuries to eight others.
The vehicle plunged into a gorge, claiming the lives of two women, the police said. Furthermore, three people, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, as per ARY News.
As per ARY News, the incident sparked outrage among the locals, who set the dumper on fire in protest whereas the driver of the dumper fled the scene after the accident.
