After the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the third time on Monday, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey claimed that the Congress is running away from discussion on Operation Sindoor, scheduled to held today, alleging that the largest Oppostion party is in "fear" of Pakistan and China being exposed.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to open the discussion on Operation Sindoor, India's military response to the Pahalgam terror attack, in Lok Sabha on Monday.
"Opposition has made a U-turn. This will not work. After half an hour, the Parliament proceedings will resume. The Defence Minister will open the debate. I urge everyone to listen to him. No Opposition party should speak the language of Pakistan," Rijiju told reporters.
Birla said that there was discussion with leaders of all parties, referring to the all party meeting held on Friday to decide on the Operation Sindoor discussion, calling the Opposition to show commitment to the discussion they sought.
"If someone is criticising the government, they should take it in a very positive manner. We hope the government will not show any bias in this," Bhagat told ANI.
BJP MP Santosh Pandey from Rajnandgaon on Monday strongly criticised senior Congress leader P Chidambaram over his comment that there is "no proof" that the Pahalgam attackers came from Pakistan and compared him to an owl that sees only in the dark, implying that the former Home Minister is
"There are many questions asked in the interview The I.N.D.I.A. bloc will raise these and more questions in the debates in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha," Chidambaram added in another post.
Congress MP Vijayakumar alias Vijay Vasanth on Monday hoped that the government would give a proper reply to the Opposition's question in the scheduled discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
"If I speak, it will be inside (the house). I am aware of that (adjournment of Lok Sabha), that's why I am standing here (outside)," Gandhi said while talking to reporters here.
The Upper house met briefly at 11 AM today before being adjourned amid Opposition's sloganeering. Similarly in the lower house, Opposition MPs protested against the Bihar SIR, raising slogans against the exercise.
"Maunvrat, maunvrat," Tharoor told reporters, smilingly after being asked about today being an important day given the 16-hour-long discussion scheduled on Operation Sindoor.
