New Delhi [India], July 28 (ANI): After the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the third time on Monday, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey claimed that the Congress is running away from discussion on Operation Sindoor, scheduled to held today, alleging that the largest Oppostion party is in "fear" of Pakistan and China being exposed.
BJP MP Dubey alleged that Congress has become "pro-Pakistan," while referring to their sloganeering inside the house and P Chidambaram's recent remarks on the Pahalgam terror attack.
"Whatever Chidambaram said today and whatever happened inside the House, Congress has now become pro-Pakistan. Congress is supporting all the terrorists of Pakistan with the support of China," Dubey said.
The BJP MP from Jharkhand's Godda added, "Due to the fear that China and Pakistan will be exposed, how they have killed our innocent citizens in the name of terrorism and how we have defeated Pakistan, if all these incidents are discussed, then Congress's drama will be exposed. Due to this fear, Congress is always changing the goalposts. LoP is Rahul Gandhi has no concern about the country... That is why it is running away from the discussion. It is unfortunate..."
In a July 27 interview with the Quint news outlet, Chidambaram raked up controversy by saying, "I mean, for all we know, they could be homegrown terrorists. Why do you assume that they came from Pakistan? There's no evidence of that. They are also hiding the losses."
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 PM for the third time on Monday, just minutes after it convened at 1 PM following the second adjournment of the day.
The Lok Sabha is expected to hold a special discussion on Operation Sindoor, however, Speaker Om Birla has repeatedly chastised the Opposition members for not allowing the house to function.
Birla said that there was a discussion with leaders of all parties, referring to the all-party meeting held on Friday, to decide on the Operation Sindoor discussion. He called on the Opposition to show commitment to the discussion they sought.
Birla said, "The Opposition asked that discussion on Operation Sindoor should happen, and I gave assurance, and the government too. I request again you should let the discussion on Operation Sindoor happen."
Telling the Opposition to choose whether they are looking for a discussion on the ongoing Bihar SIR or Op Sindoor, Birla added, "Before you say in all party meetings that Bihar SIR should be discussed, then you will let the house function, you give a commitment."
Twenty-six civilians were killed in the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, after which India retaliated through precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). (ANI)
