The India Meteorological Department has predicted an extremely heavy rainfall in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday and Wednesday and advised fishermen not to venture into the sea from October 21st to 25th.

A bus was damaged as a tree fell on it due to a landslide in Burliyar between Mettupalayam and Coonoor in Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu, after heavy rainfall in the region on Thursday.
