Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Misa Bharati came down heavily on the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led government over the flood situations in parts of the state and said that the government took action when the water levels started receding but remained inactive during the crisis.
People can be seen relocating to safe places due to floods caused by heavy water discharge from the Kosi Barrage in Birpur by relentless rainfall in the catchment areas of Nepal. Some rivers are at or above danger levels in many bordering districts.
Amid the heavy flood situations, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday left to inspect the flood-affected areas and check the relief work being carried out in the state, as per a release.
