A third body was retrieved and handed over to civil police after a three-storey building collapsed in Navi Mumbai's Shahbaz village in CBD Belapur on Saturday morning, National Disaster Response Force sources said.
The Chief Minister has directed all the district magistrates of the state to remain in alert mode at all times while coordinating with SDRF, NDRF and other rescue teams, said the release.
The team rescued five people, including a child and an ailing woman, from the flood-affected area in Mithila Nagari of Navsari. At least 30 people have been rescued from here.
The district administration has also started relocating people from the affected villages like Chikhli, Ambewadi Bhamate, and Haldi of Karveer Tahsil, which is the most affected one.
The National Disaster Response Force, teams present on the spot carried out the rescue operations on a war footing and recovered all three bodies of the deceased.
